Proper inspection and care of your Soft Body Armour / Ballistic Blanket is essential in maintaining it’s viability throughout the warranty period of the product. Please refer to the following documents for some helpful guidelines.

Warranty for Ballistic Panels:

Pacific Safety Products Inc. (PSP) warrants to the original purchaser that the ballistic materials in the product are guaranteed to be free from defects in the material and workmanship for the stated warranty period from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid for body armour that has been used for its intended purpose. The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) requires a declared warranty period for all NIJ certified models at the time of certification which can not be changed once a model is certified.

 

The declared warranty period for all PSP SBA is five (5) years.

 

Ballistic panels should be replaced when they no longer provide adequate coverage, due normally to a decrease or increase in an officer’s weight. Ballistic panels should always be replaced if they become torn, involved in a ballistic event or for any other reason that the provenance of ownership cannot be tracked.

Warranty for Internal and External Carriers:

Pacific Safety Products Inc. (PSP) warrants to the original purchaser that the carrier, outer cover, is guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of eighteen (18) months from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid when the product(s) is used only for its intended purpose .

A carrier should be replaced if the fabric becomes ripped or torn from wear or damage.

 

*Note: The above warranties for Ballistic Panels, Internal Carriers and External Carriers do not apply to any product that has been:

• Altered or modified in any way other than by a PSP approved factory alteration.

• Damaged as a result of abuse, misuse or neglect.

• Damaged as a result of improper storage or maintenance, including cleaning.
